Website Accessibility
We strive to make this website accessible for all users, including people with disabilities. We test and modify this website for optimal usability.
Content on this website is presented in many formats. These formats are generally accessible to users using screen reading software. Some files on the website may be posted as Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) files. Adobe provides their Acrobat Reader software as a free download.
We strive to validate all weaabsite pages using the following online validation services: W3C Markup Validation Service (Valid XHTML 1.0 Strict), WAVE Accessibility Validator (No Accessibility Errors).
If you have questions about our web accessibility statement or find any pages on our website that do not validate or that pose any other accessibility barriers, please contact us at support@ocali.org.
Audio Description
Audio Description (AD) for videos is a recorded narrative or audio track that is added when a video contains visual information that is not naturally included in the audio or explicitly stated by the host or narrator. Audio descriptions increase accessibility of visual or video-based content for people who are blind, visually impaired, or otherwise benefit from additional audio supports. Specific and descriptive language is used to depict text, graphics, places, objects, or actions occurring on screen. OCALI utilizes two types of audio description. Standard audio description is used when visual information can be described during natural pauses in the video. When more time is needed to adequately describe visual information, extended audio description is used, which extends the length of the original video when enabled.
