Overview

The Functional Vision Learning Media Assessment (FVLMA): Techniques and Strategies module is designed with the administration of the assessment in mind. Building on introductory webinars on the assessment and eye report, this module takes a deeper dive into how to prepare, perform each step, and adapt materials for a diverse group of learners so that as a result teams are better informed in the planning process about how students use functional vision. Participants have an opportunity to use downloadable templates to follow along as they watch assessments in action with three students while responding to reflective questions. Lastly, perspectives from professionals in the field also offer suggestions for helping educators build FVLMA kits so that students are challenged and empowered throughout the assessment process.
