Information. Connection. Empowerment.

Information is everywhere you look and everywhere you listen. Things like eye contact, body language, conversations, and environmental cues all contain information and when vision or hearing is affected, part of the information is missing, and this can create hurdles.

Promoting Access for People Who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind, or Visually Impaired is a free, self-paced training module designed to build confidence and comfort for anyone communicating or connecting with people with are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, or visually impaired.

Whether you are meeting a person who is deaf or blind for the first time or it's someone you already know, there are simple things everyone can do to improve access.

Hear Authentic Perspectives

Information connects us, empowers us, and promotes independence. When we are better prepared to help promote independence for people with disabilities, they are able to grow, learn, and live their best lives.

Hear perspectives from people who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, or visually impaired, their families, community members, co-workers, educators, and others about how they’ve worked together to increase opportunities for independence through improved access.
