Promoting Access Module Resources


This list represents current approvals for the Promoting Access for People Who Are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind, or Visually Impaired online module and will continue to be updated as new applications are approved. For all continuing education, please check with your licensing or accrediting organization if you have any questions about specific accreditation in your local area for your profession.

To receive credit for a module, please update your Profile with the relevant professional information and generate the associated certificate(s) for completed work from the Module Overview.

Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP)

Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association (OCCRRA)

The Promoting Access for People Who Are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind or Visually Impaired module (2.5 hours) has received the Ohio Approved (OA) Designation.

To receive credit for a module, please enter your Ohio Professional Registry OPIN in your Profile. If you do not know your OPIN, or you need to create one so you receive Ohio-approved training, visit occrra.org. When you have completed an approved module, you will submit it to OCCRRA by following the prompts provided.


Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) has approved 2.5 hours of continuing education credit using the Promoting Access for People Who Are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind or Visually Impaired online module for the following personnel:

  • Early Intervention Developmental Specialist/Supervisor
  • Early Intervention Service Coordinator/Supervisor

  • Service and Support Administration
  • Superintendent

Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board

The Promoting Access for People Who Are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Blind or Visually Impaired module (2.5 hours) has been approved for continuing education by the Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board (OSHPB) under the related to speech-language pathology or audiology category.
